Post with 1 note

“you’re a writer? wow…that’s cool.”

I moved my laptop back to the office because I was spending most of my day in bed writing but not really writing. I ended up on skype talking to anyone/everyone that was available. And we all know twitter is like oxygen to me these days.

Once again I’m back to working on my ghost story, Only Superstition. I needed to step away from it for awhile (I feel like it has been on/off for the last ten years and I have never been able to commit to an outline that worked). I think the constant question I asked myself was, “does it work?” and “why does it feel so heavy in content?” Sometimes I feel that I dive into a subject and get so heavy with information that I lose the story.

Some of you will notice that Staked does have its dark moments and the third book took on a really low tone to it. When I went back to reread it, I made the choice to leave it alone and go back later to attack it head on.

The remainder of the year will be devoted to making Only Superstition work. I will be posting snippets for you all to get an idea of what to expect soon.

(And for those that caught that small hint - Rent and Octavius will be back for a third book sometime next year).
